Litchfield National Park

Douglas Hot Springs
Located on the scenic route approximately 30kms from Hayes Creek. The springs can reach temperatures of 60 degrees so swimming is recommended in the cooler water pools downstream. The springs attract a variety of wildlife. Camping is available. Fees apply. Restrictions: No Pets

Fenton Airfield
A strategic location during the defence of the Top End Fenton Airfield is located off Oolloo Road. Australian and American Forces occupied the airfield during World War II. Interpretive signs and a location map at the site will help you explore the ruins and the aircraft graveyard.

Daly River Crossing
Prior to European settlement in the region the Daly River Crossing was traditionally a meeting place for Aboriginal people to trade and hold ceremonies.
Restrictions: No swimming

The Merrepen Arts Centre displays and sells Aboriginal art and crafts produced by the local Nauiyu community. See artists creating their own works of art within the Centre. Each year the Merrepen Arts Festival is held showcasing arts and crafts from local communities. Music, dancing and bush tucker and sports are some of the activities included.
